My great grandfather

William John Burns born 12 October 1889 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland to John Burns and Elizabeth Montgomery.

He lived in (4th Floor), Princes Street, Glasgow, Blackfriars, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1891. Aged 1, of Glasgow. Living in the household of father John Burns aged 24, Mason's Labourer, of Glasgow, with mother Elizabeth Burns aged 26, of Glasgow, cousin Michael Boyle aged 5, Scholar, of Glasgow, boarder Thomas Boyd aged 24, married Hammerman, of Glasgow, boarder wife Catherine Boyd aged 20, Tobacco Spinner, of Glasgow, boarder's son Thomas Boyd aged 3, of Glasgow, and boarder's son William Boyd aged 0, of Glasgow.

William married Maria Inglis. They were married in a religious ceremony, after publication according to the forms of the Church of Scotland, on 13 March 1914 in Calton Parish Church, Glasgow, witnessed by Alex Sneddon and Mary Maguire.
